Slate bed pool tables

Our superb range of hand built slate bed tables can be delivered in two ways to your home or commercial premises. As these large and heavy items are rather costly to transport, pool table world has devised a budget delivery service and a more comprehensive delivery plus installation service.

Our budget delivery service (Your most cost effective route) offers a fast and reliable 1 man service. The delivery is a door to door service only and does require you the customer to have assistance the other end to take your new table into the house and put the product together. Constructing the table is extremely easy, however due to the weight of the table parts we strongly recommend 2-3 people are present to assist you.

The table will arrive in 3 parts, the body and frame (with cushions pre attached) the legs of the table and the pre-clothed state bed. The legs simply bolt on through the body of the table, the frame then either lifts off or opens on hinges (like a book) allowing you to insert the slate bed playing surface into the table. The completed table is then levelled using a spanner on the adjustable treads of the feet.

We must stress that the budget delivery is designed to cut costs for you. It must be understood that this is a door to door service so please ensure you can arrange your own team prior to making this choice.

Full delivery and installation

The delivery and installation service is much more comprehensive than the door to door service. Here you can expect a 2 man delivery. The drivers are all professionally trained pool table fitters. They will remove your table from the vehicle, take it in to your room of choice, then construct and level the table. The drivers are also there to answer any questions you have regarding the maintenance and adjustment of the table. In most cases the delivery team can deal with steps and entire flights of stairs; however it is prudent to inform the staff at Pool Table World of any potential difficulties the installation teams may face when making a delivery. The more information we have, the more prepared the teams can be with ramps and stair climbers etc.

Light weight or MDF tables.

Our range of light weight games tables are usually flat packed and boxed. This means they travel perfectly using more main stream courier services. The very small tables will arrive using a 1 man service. The driver will have trolleys to transport the table to your front door.

The slightly larger tables tend to arrive using a two man service. The drivers will take the boxed items and bring them to the door for you.

What should I do if I notice the table or packaging is damaged?

It is your right as a consumer to ask the courier to wait whilst you inspect the goods so take full advantage of this before signing. If you notice the packaging is ripped or broken, do take the time to check that the goods inside remain unmarked. Should you discover any damage, do not accept the goods. Sign the delivery note as DAMAGED and RETURNED. Contact Pool Table World at your earliest convenience and we will have replacement items sent out to you as quickly as possible.
